Facing a creator of monumental spaces and an icon for the wool industry, we designed a concept reflecting Biella’s impact in Italy and the global wool manufacturing scene. With nods to historical landmarks, the concept fuses modern architectural elements with subtle references to the city’s rich heritage. Biella’s significance in the fashion world, particularly in creating iconic colors and techniques, like Valentino red and Zegna’s perfect blends, inspires the museum’s design.
The architectural layout integrates spacious exhibition halls, curated to showcase the evolution of fashion in Biella and its global influence. The museum’s interior design combines sleek, contemporary aesthetics with subtle nods to Biella’s textile heritage. Textured surfaces, luxurious fabrics, and vibrant colors evoke the city’s longstanding tradition of craftsmanship and innovation in fashion. Each section of the museum pays homage to significant historical events, such as the inception of the iconic Valentino red hue, through carefully curated displays and interactive exhibits.
Interactive installations and multimedia presentations offer visitors an immersive journey through Biella’s fashion legacy, highlighting key moments like the creation of Valentino red. Through engaging storytelling and interactive experiences, the museum educates and inspires visitors about Biella’s profound impact on global fashion.

The museum’s exterior reflects Biella’s architectural charm, with elements reminiscent of its historical landmarks seamlessly woven into the design. For instance, the façade might feature motifs inspired by Biella’s medieval architecture, symbolizing the city’s enduring influence on fashion.Through a harmonious blend of modern architecture and historical references, the museum celebrates Biella’s enduring legacy as a hub of creativity and innovation in the fashion industry.
