Where: Calafquén Lake, Chile.

This assignment arose from the search for a larger space for the client’s summer cabin. We were faced with the idea of ​​maintaining the feeling of home and a cozy space even though the house would only be used occasionally.

When we found out about the location, everything was set; the cabin is located a few meters from Lake Calafquén, with a view of the incredible Villarrica volcano, which is one of the most active in South America, and has an almost perfect conical shape.
We then proposed raising the visual level of the cabin by going up one floor with the renovation, where the master bedroom and its en-suite bathroom are located, like a natural observatory.

In addition, this benefited us by extending the ground floor to add another guest bedroom and expand the kitchen-dining room.
